Day One

Arrived safely after a very long journey, which was delayed by an hour.  Airport processing was extremely efficient.  So far we've had 2 vomits, 1 blood nose, gifts lost 3 times, 1 lost phone, money lost but later recovered and cleats left on the bus.  All in 36 hours!

Cola's been fantastic, the kids have eaten well and are coping with the temperature and lack of sleep.

We went to a school's batting cage for practice, it seems the whole school revolves round baseball.  We then played a practice game, it was very exciting.  The team played well but we lost in the 6th innings.

For dinner Cola arranged a traditional Chinese meal, enjoyed by all.

Hi I spoke with CJ last night. They had just gone back to their rooms after Dinner & settling for bed. He said it is hot, but they're getting acclimatized already. They lost their first practice game, but he said they came together well as a team & seemed very positive :-) They were tired, but very excited & looking forward to the next challenge. Hugh & Tracey, Henry is in Room 1517 with CJ, if you were thinking of ringing. Correze told me the rooming pairs for now. I am sure you are all waiting to hear? So here goes- Mitchell & Thomas, Ayrton & Tyler, Takumi & Alex, Taishi & Reuben, Fred & Zane, Poor Georgia gets stuck with her dad (just kidding Brian) Cheers Lisa :-)

Day 1 - Departing NZ

WOW!!! Time has flown and still a few details to check off the list. Thanks to all who attended the Farewell/Uniform Celebration!  Thanks also to the parents for your help with preparing for the evening.   There's has been a million details to cover but we're ready to fly.  We arrive in Taipei and will transfer to our hotel in Taichung where we'll remain until the end of the tournament. Cola has arranged for a game the day we arrive.  Game on!!!
